NM RECA Supports and Celebrates the Year of Literacy in New Mexico
Be sure to review our Resolution in Support of New Mexico's Year of Literacy.
Welcome to the NMRECA
The New Mexico Regional Education Cooperatives Association (NMRECA) is comprised of ten regional education cooperatives. We are located throughout New Mexico, supporting 68 districts (most of them rural), charter schools, and state-supported schools. In addition, NMRECA members work directly with the New Mexico Public Education Department on state-wide projects and initiatives.
The NMRECA is affiliated with the NM Coalition of Educational Leaders (NMCEL), the Association of Educational Service Agencies (AESA), the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO), and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD).
Our NM RECA executive director is Bobbie Gutierrez. Bobbie serves as our state executive director and oversees the work of the association. If you or your organization would like to meet with the RECs, please contact Bobbie via email. Please take a moment to read Bobbie's biography to learn more.
A Message from our Association President
It is humbling to be able to serve another term as president of the RECA. The Regional Education Cooperatives continue the journey of providing effective supports to our member school districts during this unpredictable time. The ten REC directors, with their team of deputies and assistants, continue to meet weekly with educational partners including the NMPED, LFC, and others. These partnerships will allow us all to support NM teachers and students in a comprehensive manner that is strategic across time and not just focused on the situation at hand. Here’s to a great 2021-2022 school year!
